39 weeks!

Baby Girl is due in 2 days… Just like a girl to keep us waiting.
(Brother came 3 days early!)

I know she will be worth it.

Here are a few belly shots from 39 weeks.

New Toys

My sweet boy has been super sweet to his mommy who cant act like she use too. Luckily we got some new toys to make it a little easier and I could not help but share this love bug with yall.

First we got a train table at a garage sale… table and TONS of piece for $30. JACKPOT!

We were given a water table that my boy just loves…

The greatest gift as a mom is watching them learn and grow while they play. Thank you Jesus for this sweet blessing.

9 months with Gray

Today marks 1 week until Baby Beans due date and everyone is on pins and needles waiting on her arrival.

This will also be my last  pregnancy
(as far as we plan the Lord would have to work some pretty crazy miracles if he wants it any other way)
so this week is all about wrapping this pregnancy up.

I wanted to just jot down my journey over this last 9 months… this is more for my sweet Gray when she is older and perhaps pregnant and wants to know about my experience with her. However this pregnancy has been a crazy ride and might me helpful for others.

Well it all started when I found out I was pregnant… I knew I was but this was not the first time we thought it was possible so daddy wanted me to wait until Friday to take a test but on Wednesday a symptom I knew far to well from your brothers pregnancy appeared and I KNEW. I could not believe I was pregnant, something I was not planning at all. Little did I know the crazy journey that was ahead.

1

I was sick right away… day and night, night and day. Brushing my teeth was the worse and was usually what caused the nausea to turn to "being sick" I experienced the normal always tired feeling and the shock that I was pregnant again. We knew we wanted a home birth after having your brother so we started our research and finding a birthing center and midwife. I wasnt supposed to see the midwife until 12 weeks but at 8 weeks I was showing and having some super weird things going on. This lead us to believe that there was more then one of you for quit some time.

2

A lot of women experience the sick 1st trimester, bliss 2nd trimester and ready to be over 3rd trimester. Not this momma… I continued to have aches and pains and sickness during the second trimester as well. To much activity would have me out cold for the rest of the day. The holidays hit and we were very busy which was hard but we were blessed to get to find out that you were a GIRL right after christmas. It was super special bc a lot of your family was in town and in the room.

After we meet the rest of the family at a restaurant to tell everyone. Your dad and I could not believe we were having a girl. I kinda knew you were a girl just because EVERY thing had been so different from your brother but still I was shocked. Your daddy got a little scared and to be honest so did I. At the end of my second trimester you gave us a little scare when I started having braxton hick contractions that lasted for 4 days. When I finally saw the midwife we found out that my body was so out of alignment that you were smooched onto the right side and a ligament was taking up the left side blocking you from moving. I went to a chiropractor who painfully adjusted it and it was pretty crazy. Immediately I felt you move and even out and my body felt "normal" again. (this is called webster and most women get it done at the end of pregnancy to get the baby to flip if they are breached) I was so thankful to know what was going on with you and my body. I was also thankful for women who wanted to treat me naturally and not put me on bedrest and meds. This is also when we found out that my pubic bone was out as well and adjusted it (OUCH!) This would become pretty important for the rest of my pregnancy.

The third trimester started with 2 showers and it was so fun to celebrate you with family and friends. Man are there cute clothes for little girls. That is pretty much where the fun ends… remember that part about my pubic bone well I started experience pretty intense pain from here on out. It grew worse with each week and I later (much later) found out what was going on… Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction. The bigger you got the worse it got and sometimes was so painful I could hardly breath to walk or sit up. This would lead me to weekly appointments at the chiropractor. At 35 weeks I started experiencing pain and pressure again and was put on bed rest for the week (if you go into labor before 36 weeks you can not have a home birth so we needed to make it one more week) Even though I was in pain and daddy was scared everyone in your family was a HUGE blessing to our family. Helping with meals, cleaning and your brother. After that week things stayed pretty crazy… each day was a new day but most were pretty hard. We also got introduced to the joys of sciatic nerve pain during this time. Your daddy was a true super hero. He took AMZING care of me and big brother, taking on almost all my load and his while loving on your brother and I well. All with no complaints. I hope you know how blessed you are to have an amazing father like him. This time was also hard on your big brother. He really wanted me to hold him and didnt understand why he got in trouble for kicking me in the tummy. On the other hand he loved to tell people your name, kiss my tummy and talk about you. He really loved reading big brother books. I so hope yall have a special bond and serve one another well.

Because we are doing a home birth mommy was a little crazy about keeping the house clean and daddy was a huge help. It was nice to pick up every night thinking what if she came tonight, this however also drove us a little crazy as we did this for about a month before you came. We also "nested" super early and your room was done about 2 months before you came. PS- nesting is SO real.  I am typing this with one week to go and I am going crazy wanting to meet you, see what you look like, see how big brother will adjust and be a family of four. You are so loved so PLEASE come out!

34 weeks with Copeland

A few other things about you in the womb.

you are not really a kicker or hitter you are a mover though. Crazy all the time mover, getting in the weirdest positions and making my tummy look like a science project. Event he midwifes laugh at you when they are checking on you.

We had a 3D sono done late in pregnancy and it appears you have mommy's lips and perhaps look like me… we will see. They also said you had hair, cant wait to find out how much.

Most people guess you are a boy because I am all belly and carry pretty low.

With your brother I was super swollen but I haven't been with you which has been nice. I think it is due to the weather difference.

One embarrassing side effect of this pregnancy… I drool when I sleep.

You hate when I wear pants and kick against the band. Once I got much bigger, the last few weeks, you got mad that my tummy would touch my thighs and would kick those too.

I love you already sweet girl and cant wait to see if your in womb personality matches your out of womb personality. See you soon my love.

Mothers Day 2012

I was really hoping Miss Gray would come the day before mothers day… if she had then Copeland, her and I would all have birthdays on the 12th and I would have both my babies to hold on mothers day.

Well I woke up mothers day morning with no baby girl but thats ok she knows what she needs and she needs a little more time.

I did however wake up to flowers in my face and a sweet boy trying to say "happy mothers day" after a few attempts of not being able to say it just perfect he threw his arms up and said "HAPPY DAY" very proud of himself.
(sidenote: this is his new thing if we cant figure out what he is saying he will figure out another way to say it so we get it. It amazes me how smart he is. The other day I could not understand train, which I usually can, but after a few times of him trying and me not getting it he paused, thought and then said "choo choo")

I got a card from each of my boys and some beautiful flowers. We all got dressed and met our family at LePeeps to celebrate my mom, hubby's mom, and my sister in law. It was a nice and yummy time!

My 5 year old niece took this picture of C at the restaurant.  What a goober, love him!

My son ate enough for 3 grown men and I just could not believe it, Lord help me when he is a teenager.

Then the whole family headed to the park to play. I love watching Copeland with his daddy and uncle. He thinks he is as big as them and keeps up pretty well.

It was a beautiful day, what a blessing
Me looking all kinds of 9 months pregnant but I had to get a pic with this ham.

We took Maggie with us and even let her off her leash for an hour to run and chase the boys. This is a HUGE deal bc we got her as an abused stray and after about a year of working with her she stayed right with us in an open field. Everyone was so impressed and proud of how far she has come!

After a much needed nap my sweet hubby grilled pineapple, ham and asparagus and we had bake potatos… it was amazing. We finished it off with grilled apples and ice cream. Wow my man is AMAZING!

It was the perfect day and I think everyone felt loved and honored.

Josh and I really have the BEST mom's ever. We honestly could not make it without them.

The mom's aren't the only ones that were spoiled this mothers day… The hubby went to the store to grab something for dinner and came back with 2 outfits for Miss Gray. He said he is never going girl shopping again it is to easy to go crazy. I love it and it was the sweetest thing I could get on mothers day… I know he will be a great daddy to a girl!

Soaking it up...

I am just loving my 2 year old… everyday he says something that makes me laugh or look at him with amazement.

Today we were playing with his train table which is by his window and he heard a neighbor mowing… He looked at me and said "daddy is nowing"
It is so funny to me how he gets the world around him. I probably need to stop under estimating him.

Here is a videos I took recently… I am trying to capture as much of this phase as I can. (especially before sister comes and my life gets a little crazy with 2)

This video is him reading to me! LOVE IT.

As of late...

I have been caring for this sweet garden of mine that is doing much better then it did last year and looking super promising (and last year wasn't even bad!)

Here we have 3 bell pepper plants, 2 rows  of carrots and squash and zucchini
4 different types of tomatoes, 2 rows of carrots and a zucchini plant coming in.
These are my herbs
This is just my sweet husband creating a pretty place for me to rest while our boy plays… I am a pretty lucky girl.

Besides my garden I have been caring for this little love who AMAZES me everyday with something new he says or does but also is showing mommy a few signs that he does not like her being pregnant and therefore is acting out toward me. I know buddy I dont like it either and I cant wait to hold you again!
The other day we were playing outside ALL day and I stepped inside to go potty when I came back out he had got his puppy and was nicely taking him for a ride… what a sweet boy!

Now that the big ridiculous bow is bought we are ready for sister to come… 3 more weeks!
